SM Japanese Language Academy

SM Japanese Language Academy was originally established in 2019 to provide professional Japanese language education and career preparation for students who aim to work in Japan. After a temporary suspension in 2023, the academy officially reopened in February 2026 with an upgraded curriculum and a stronger training system.

Our academy focuses not only on teaching Japanese language skills, but also on preparing students for real working environments in Japan. We train students in communication, interview performance, workplace behavior, and cultural understanding to ensure long-term success.

Our goal is to produce confident, job-ready graduates who can adapt smoothly to Japanese companies.

Course Schedule
JLPT N5 / N4 Courses

Duration: 3 months
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Class time: 2 hours per day

This course is designed for beginners who are starting to learn Japanese for the first time, as well as learners who wish to build a strong and reliable foundation in the language. Students begin with mastering Hiragana and Katakana, and gradually develop their skills in basic grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, listening, and conversational ability through a step-by-step learning process.

The program provides systematic instruction in the grammar knowledge and vocabulary required for the JLPT N5 and N4 levels. Our objective is not only to support students in passing the examination, but also to help them acquire practical Japanese language skills that can be used effectively in daily life and real workplace environments.

Classes go beyond textbook-based learning by incorporating role-plays, conversation practice, and various practical communication activities. These methods help students gain confidence and communicate naturally in Japanese.

In addition, we emphasize expressions used in daily life in Japan, workplace manners, and an understanding of Japanese culture, enabling students to adapt smoothly to real living and working environments.

Regular mock examinations and comprehension assessments are conducted to carefully monitor each student’s learning progress and ensure steady and reliable improvement in their Japanese proficiency.

N3 Career Preparation Program

Duration: 4 months
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Class Time: 2 hours per day

This course is an intensive intermediate-level Japanese language program designed for learners who aim to work in Japan and develop professional communication skills. It is structured for students who have completed basic Japanese studies and wish to acquire more practical and advanced Japanese language proficiency.

Classes provide systematic and step-by-step instruction in the grammar, vocabulary, kanji, reading comprehension, and listening skills required for the JLPT N3 level. Students develop the ability to understand longer texts and communicate effectively in real-life situations. Special emphasis is placed on kanji learning to ensure students can confidently understand vocabulary and expressions commonly used in newspapers, workplace documents, and everyday materials in Japan.

In addition to examination preparation, the course focuses on practical workplace skills required in Japan, including reporting, contacting, and consulting practices (Ho-Ren-So), practical conversation training, and role-play exercises. These activities aim to strengthen communication abilities so that students can perform effectively as job-ready professionals.

Regular mock examinations and comprehension assessments are conducted to carefully monitor each student’s learning progress, providing continuous support to ensure they achieve a strong and reliable JLPT N3 level of Japanese proficiency.
